What we need
We are looking for an exceptional AI Team Leader to lead a world-class group of AI-focused software developers, who are shaping the future of AI-powered Business Intelligence solutions to be used by some of the world’s largest organizations. You will help develop the team’s strategies, knowledge, tools and skills, to drive the future of our products. This role is ideal for someone with leadership skills, deep technical expertise, and the strategic vision to bring successful AI driven solutions to the BI market.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: This is a hands-on role, developing and deploying code as well as guiding a talented group of AI professionals in building compelling solutions. Cultivate a collaborative environment where critical thinking and experimentation thrive.
- Strategic Vision and Delivery: Design and implement AI strategies that are both technically robust and aligned with business priorities. Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.
- Technical and Scientific Oversight: Provide mentorship and direction on advanced machine learning architecture, AI system design, and deployment strategy.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and business leadership to integrate AI seamlessly into real-world systems. Effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Innovation & Research: Stay informed on AI research, emerging technologies, and industry developments. Encourage the team to explore and implement cutting-edge AI solutions. Maintain ties to the academic community through collaborations, conferences, and shared learning.
Ideal Profile
- Solid practical experience leading AI research or development teams producing real-world deployed solutions.
- Strong background in machine learning, including LLMs and related technologies.
- Proven ability to bridge research and application, and to mentor others in doing the same.
- Skilled communicator with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
- A PhD in a relevant area (e.g. AI/ML) is a plus.

£130,000 – £150,000 per annum
