AI Engineer – Neural Rendering & 3D Reconstruction (XR/Volumetric Media)
Hybrid – London preferred (3 days/week in office)
Permanent / Full-Time
About the Role
We’re hiring an AI Engineer to join a highly technical team developing cutting-edge tools for immersive 3D content. This role is focused on applying deep learning techniques to build and optimise systems that turn real-world or synthetic 2D input into high-fidelity 3D scenes. If you’re passionate about neural rendering, differentiable graphics, and real-time volumetric display, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of immersive media.
As the first dedicated AI engineer on the team, you’ll have significant influence over technical direction, architecture, and deployment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and deploy AI models for 3D reconstruction and neural rendering
- Apply techniques such as NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, or layered mesh generation to build high-quality geometry from video or multi-view images
- Optimise inference pipelines for integration into a real-time volumetric engine
- Work closely with engineers from graphics, VFX, and rendering backgrounds
- Experiment with novel differentiable rendering systems and contribute to XR-focused product features
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, or related 3D reconstruction methods
- Strong mathematical foundation in geometry, optimisation, and signal processing
- Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience optimising AI models for GPU inference (CUDA, TensorRT, TorchScript, or CoreML)
- Background in either computer vision, 3D graphics, robotics, or immersive media
- Bonus: knowledge of offline rendering pipelines (e.g. Arnold, RenderMan), or Unity/Unreal export workflows
- 2+ years of experience in an applied AI or research-focused engineering role
Why Join
- Be part of a pioneering format redefining what’s possible in immersive and cinematic 3D
- Collaborate with highly experienced technical teams
- Direct impact on product direction and architecture
- Backed by a stable and forward-thinking tech company
- Flexible hybrid working with a London HQ
