Job Summary

Huawei is looking at for a Research Intern to join our London Research Centre’s AI theory team for

a minimum of six months. The research intern will conduct academic and applied research to

advance state-of-the-art in generative machine learning, exploring different settings such as

controllability, textual alignment, storytelling and consistency. Our interns aim to publish at top tier

academic venues, and/or transfer their work to Huawei products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in cutting edge research aiming to solve fundamental machine learning


• Design, implement and evaluate innovative solutions for text-to-image generation.

Person Specification:

List details of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed to do the job:

• 2nd or 3rd year PhD student in machine learning or related field.

• Experience publishing in top tier conferences is a plus.

• Experience in one or several fields related to the following topics: generative models, panoptic

segmentation, object detection, data-efficient learning and image captioning.

• Hands on experience using Python and deep learning libraries specifically (PyTorch,

Hugging Face Diffusers and Transformers).
